36 is high! You should consider lowering to at least 34. I run 33 myself.

you need to get some sleep...about 90% of the stuff you said i didn't get...but yo its ok

anyways...i am putting 33 in front 32 in the back

If you go too high on the psi range like 36+...what are the benifits?

36 psi isn't too high....

anyhow too low pressure you wear out the outer edges of your tires, lose some fuel economy and reduce handling performance for various reasons.

when th epressure is too high you wear out the center of your tire.

the right pressure is when you get an even temp across the foot print of your tire; inside, center and outside. I typicaly find factory recommended settings too low. Plus I like the firmer ride.

Aight so a higher than stock PSI is recommeded for better for better fuel mileage and tire life?

So what should I run on my Kumhos Ectas 712?

Hogan, but how do I know if I amnot over inflating it? Like I dont want to have uneven wear in the center of my tires with too high of a PSI.

Or is 35 never going to be an issue with that? Remember I got the MaxSpeed Lowering springs and the stock struts.

Thanks
Dixit

36-38 psi. Anything less and the stock tires HOWL in corners. And I bought this car to cruise the Hill Country, not drive in a straight line. I think the 32psi is WAY low for optimum control.

. . . Anyone know how to calculate optimum tire pressure?. Acounting for; Load, general temp, weight distribution ect... . .

Nope. Too many variables not listed for which data is not readily available, like camber curves, tire characteristics, and perhaps most importantly on the street, individual personal preference. So you really are best off just to try different combinations and see what you like best. Basically the heavy end of the car wants slightly/somewhat more pressure and turn-in is enhanced with a little more pressure in the fronts.

FWIW, on the OE 225/50-17 RE92's I'm currently running about 36 - 37 front / 28 - 29 rear, which is enough of a pressure difference to dial out much of the understeer from interstate on-ramp charges. Yes, I know that according to the inflation pressure sticker my rear pressure is a little light, but since my car rarely has to carry more than two occupants or haul much luggage I can safely bias my tire pressures in favor of handling and hard cornering.

Words of warning: the above settings may be too "loose" for some drivers.

Tire pressure

Does anyone know what the factory recommended tire pressure is? The manual says check the tires (Potenzas,) the tires just show max inflation pressure.

Look for the decal. I think it's inside the console under the lid, and I'm pretty sure it calls for 32 psi all around for the 17's. Off the dealer's lot they may be a little lower than that so that the slightly firm ride won't cost any sales (mine were between 26 and 29).
