Hey there..

I recently did some stupid, and caused some damage to the passenger side fender of my 2004 Maxima SE.

The damage is limited to that region only, so I only have to replace that part.

Problem is, I can't find any replacement fenders that come pre-painted.

My Maxima is (or I have to believe is) nissan factory black.

Can anyone direct me to a place where I can get this fender? And can anyone tell me if there is a way to tell what "type" of black paint I have on the car? Like I say, Im pretty sure its just your basic nissan black color finish.

I doubt it will come pre-painted. Your paint color should be inside your driver side door. The dealer can tell you exactly, you may have to order that fender from the dealer anyway.

Our parts are Aluminum but many after parts will be Steel. Can't tell the difference besides the weight.
