Thanks to MDeezy, I have a 6 speed HLSD on the way. I even found a guy to put it in for $300!!!! I was going to do it myself, but for $300 I'll pay someone to do it. Maybe I should use the savings to get an exhaust.

I'm already a six speed, just non-HLSD. First gear broke a couple months ago and I have been starting in 2nd. It SUUUUUUUCKS.

was it the clutch or syncros ?

Also since your in there , are you adding a performance clutch ?

To me it sounds like a chipped gear, but I'm no transmission expert. I took it by a Dealer and had a tech listen to it and he hadn't heard one of these make that sound before. I put in an OEM clutch about 10K miles ago, so probably not. I probably should start laying off the hard driving since it has 126K miles on it and I need it to last awhile longer.
