headlight assembly

Whilst changing out my lightbulbs and putting an HID conversion kit in we broke a piece of the headlight assembly and now water vapor is getting into my headlights. The piece is the thing that the bulb turns itself into. Its a gray plastic what looks like a small bowl that the bulb itself screws into. My question is does anyone know...

a) how to get the water vapor out without disassembling the entire assembly itself

b) how to fix my problem without buying an entire new assembly?

thoughts?

I've heard you can use the silica-gel packets like the ones that come in shoes and stuff. As for repairing it, can you take a picture of the damage?

Yeah need pics, may have to use window caulk or sealer to fill the gap once is completely dry. I had to bake mine open to repiar a crack inside after a wreck. I used window sealer to help close them back up, Never had any water vapor issues.

Make sure the silica-gel paks have the "do not eat label".... Alway did think that was dumb, who eats that stuff?

Yeah anywhere inside the sealed area, but you'll have to fix the broken part for it to work.
