I have a 2000 Nissan maxima gle. I have had a bad year. I am about to replace my AC for the 3rd time. From what seems to be mechanical failure. The bearing goes bad I think, makes noise. I have also replaced my stater several times in the last year. I believe it is going to fail again soon, the signs are coming back. Starting to grind when I start the car, if I stop, and try a restart it works though.

Last my alternator failed 3 times. The last one I replaced about 4-5 months ago.

I used to have an after market stereo, had it for 6 years no problem. But with all these issues I removed it about 6-7 months ago. But my starter is acting up and my AC just failed after a long road trip.

The only other eletrical problem I had was 2 summers ago, I pinched a wire while trying to install my starter. That caused my car to completely die, and not start. Engine would turn over but engine wouldn't fire. Stater worked but like engine coils didn't. Took it to Nissan and they mended the wires. Then maybe within a year these problems started.

Really blows my mind. Alternator and AC are on the same belt, I thought that might be the problem. They are going to check that Wednesday and replace my AC again with warrenty. But the shop I am getting work done at is really pised to say the least. I don't want to take it back to nissan on a wild goose chase, but I maybe out of options?! Really want to sell the car private party but can't sell it with these reoccuring problems. Aside from these it's in great shape, less than 130k miles!!
