Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Vs. ACT Stage 1 Clutch

Trying to make an important and difficult decision... Exedy Stage 1 or ACT Stage 1 clutch? I know I loved the ACT but I'm wondering if Exedy's stage 1 is just as good as far as strong engagement... Exedy is about 150 dollars cheaper. I loved how the ACT would feel, pedal felt kinda stiff, but the engagement was awesome, I would get 2nd and 3rd gear scratches. So if anyone out there has had experience with the Exedy Stage 1 Organic Clutch and not the Exedy OEM replacement please let me know how you felt about it.

I like exedy clutches, but the ACT HDSS (which is ACTs lowest level clutch for our car) is quite a bit more aggressive than the stage 1 exedy. Exedy lists their stage one at 231lb-ft torque capacity, ACT lists theirs at 362ft-lb.

The exedy stage 1 is listed at 1720 lbs clamping force. If my memory serves me correctly the ACT HD is what they used to call their 2100lb clamp force disk (it may not be exactly 2100 they probably round the number a bit). Stock clamping force is just under 1300lb.

I loved my Exedy Stage 1, not too stiff of a pedal for daily driving but with plenty of clamping power for an NA setup.
