Rear Speaker size for a non-bose system
Its 6.5" speakers. Replaced mine and was not too happy with the aftermarket speakers with the stock non-bose radio. Need to get back the two connectors and get back the original stock speakers which costs $50 bucks from the dealer which is not bad. If you had the Bose system, forget about it.
what about a BOSE system? what size are they in rear? mine completely gave out both rears after installing pioneer deck after bose went out, its much louder now the front speakers and tweeters oem are clean is hell and loud.
They should be the same size as well for BOSE systems.
Be careful when attempting to remove rear deck. use a screwdriver to help pry off rear window side panels. THe brake light housing (if its in the inside of car) is a pita to get off. I broke mine when attempting to change speakers, Ended up superglue it. Adheres fine and housing doesnt move at all.
wow, this whole time i thought the rears were 6x9 instead of 6.5 all around. word of advise stay away from the sony explodes, those are crap. i have sony explodes up front and some cheapo brand on the rear (both pairs came with the car) and the rears have way better sound than the sony's. i knew sony isnt a good choice for car audio but now i know why...
Listen here children:
Step 1: Pop the trunk
Step 2: look in, and up at the things that make noise when you turn on your stereo....
Step 3: Determine if they are round or of an oval shape....
If they are round, they can't be 6 x 9!!!!!!!!
Seriously...it's not that hard...
I would think before posting in a forum and embarassing yourself, you would be able to at least determine "shapes" yourself. I mean....we learned this stuff when we were how old?
