anyone here bypass bose amp manually? what pins on harness to use? I basically want to "jump" past the bose amp, by wiring the input harness directly to the output harness for the front two speakers/tweeters. What wires/pins to do this with on the harnesses?
The plan is to install an aftermarket deck, then power the front speakers off of of (I will be replacing the bose fronts with some 4ohm speakers). I will leave the rest of the bose system unpowered.
Thanks

I did just that. Sorry, but I don't have the schematic anymore, but I assure you it's on here somewhere.
I just replaced the Bose amp with another (better) amp.
The car basically already has two sets of shielded low voltage wire pairs running to the back of the car.
Makes everything a lot easier.
If I understand correctly, your plan is to go directly from the front speaker output on the deck, through the stock line wire, and from that, just bypass the amp?
That would probably work, but I wouldn't want to feed amp level currents through the thin wire that feeds the input of the stock Bose amp. This wire is designed for low level signal, not really amp level, but you could be OK.

He wired around the amp and just treated it as if everything were a new install.
It's the best way to do it, and really not hard.
sorry to be vague.
it was a clean mobile install job while i was working. i gave him the job. he told me what he did. and yes explained to me it seemed simple
