Performance belts?

custommaxima.com is selling this Gates Racing serpentine belt for $53.16 and it's claimed to be 300% stronger than stock belts! Does that mean more horsepower?? its time to change my belts, would it be worth it to try it?

They also have this lightweight Unorthodox Racing Crank Pulley thats claimed to offer real hp and torque gains.. can someone shed some light on these parts?? thnx.

lightweight pulley works.
don't waste that much money on a belt, get the regular gates belt and you'll be fine

No Belts dont gain horsepower...neither do under drive pulleys the pulleys free up power. dont waste your money on those belts and get the normal AZ specials or oem

maybe it just lasts longer? My bet is no you wont feel any difference at all.

save your money for a y pipe or a variable manifold

300% stronger, so that means I'll get over 300,000 miles out of it?
I got well over 100,000 on the OE belts...

if its stronger that means it'll last longer
i've read on some threads that you really wouldnt notice any gains with the pulleys. i personally think you'll start noticing gains when you actually putting down some major HP, but even at that it'll be like 1 or 3 to the wheel...

No... 3 million miles. dummy. Come on. Get with it. lol

I love when companies go over 100%. like it is possible. lol. The belt would have to be made out of Spectra or some type of ceramic material to last over 300k. lol

Pulleys do free up HP but don't waste your money on the belt.

You don't think breaking strength can more than doubled?
Seriously? Lifespan wasn't mentioned.

OP:
Pulley yes.
Belt no.
