i dont see coilovers, i just see some springs that are suppose to work with oem struts

 

ohh, so thats just a cheaper way to lower my car?

hahahah thankss, guess i'll skip on thatt. i need new struts anyway, any particular brand? and i have 16" wheels. will that look good lowered?

 

i mod on a budget.. i have gr2's on my car and maxspeed springs 1.5f an 1.3r...love the drop and ive ran 18's and currently am running 19's with no rubbing or scraping on speed bumps...dnt skip on dropping but lowering springs are fine if you arent slamming (2in plus)

 

so ur saying use lowering springs? im not really familiar with the prices of struts. so whats a good deal? for all fours

 

check around the org..and your jy.. i lucked up and found my GR2's for 100 for the set at my local jy..but check ebay lol

 

if u find a $100 dollar coil over set it doesnt mean there junk, just do re-search.

Those are a type of coilover system, much like the old Ground Controls were.
I wouldnt recommend using them with OEM strust though.
I personally wouldnt use them at all.

 

i purchased MatriX lowering springs for 99.98 from ebay. (front = 2.5" rear = 2") and i have them on Monroe High performance Struts. And I had them for almost a 7 months now No problem. (see sig.) Riding on 17" ADR GT Sport Rims

I dont want to drop my car more 1.5". DO i need to buy springs for a 1.5" drop? Or can i jus adjust srtuts?

I know coilovers are adjustable. but they also more expensive

I dont understand what your saying, but if your under the impression that adjustable struts will allow you lower your ride height then no, all they do is control damper.
Springs ar ewhat lower your height, for a 1.5 drop you need springs rated for a 1.5 drop and etc.
Coilovers are both in one, they have struts that have damper settings made for the specific spring rates being used in the setup.

Did some research and found the answer.

 

Yeah, i jus read up about that. I would need to get springs that accommodate a 1.5" drop. Then jus get struts. THey not adjsutable. Im such a suspension NOOb

those are coilover sleeves, i wouldnt buy them at all for any car. sring rate probably sucks and it wouldnt mount right with your front struts. StAY AWAY from those...

 

Kool, that means the sensa tracs can work with lowering springs! or maybe it depends on the type of driving and road conditions as well, too harsh and they may poop early.

 

People have had good luck with sleeve style coilovers as long as their struts are capable of adequate compression/rebound.

 

If you ever had an Eibach 2.5" spring (or any other reputable brand) and a no name spring side by side you will instantly figure it out.
