I've always trusted it as fairly accurate. If you do mostly city driving I could see 16mpg. 11-12 is pretty low. Heat/AC on all the time?

I'd start watching it manually and see what you get.

Its pretty accurate what I see is when you get down to 0 on the range there is really 3 to 4 gallons of gas left I think they do this so you wont run out. Ive taken my mileage from a tank and its pretty much on the mark. Now if you reset the computer every time you fill up and do a lot of city and idling yes it will show low it never gets a chance to get a average especially if there is a lot of idling. Right now im getting 21.8 combined city and hwy I have never seen it get below 21.0 ever, on the Hwy i get about 29mph was getting 31 when gas was gas now they put ethanol in it which brings down my MPG.
Maybe you have a lead foot???

Agreed.

I am at 21.6 mixed. I can get 28ish hwy even with all my mods and a lead foot. But I know I've seen guys get on here and report 16ish or worse. I think there is a gas mileage thread if you search for it.

Well in the city you are not gonna get great gas mileage, but if its really that low you might want to check some things out to see why its getting such a low mileage.
