So I'm curious to know if there's any motor or drivetrain differences between my 6th gen Maxima and a 7th gen maxima. they look exactly the same but I know Nissan likes to make minor tweaks. I can't find any information online so that's why am asking here.

They look completely different.

And the engine is quite an upgrade as well, too many items to list, but it's far better option as far as engines go. It's essentially an FWD HR.

Drivetrain is essentially the same, minor-moderate upgrades to the 7th gen CVT.

 

Does the OP mean between the early 6th gens (ones with 4/5AT and 6MT trannies) and the later ones (ones with CVT)?
