I have a 96 maxima se and a very happy with it, but the throw is a little long so I want to get a short shifter. Who makes the best one and where is the best place to get it? Thanks

go to carparts.com and get one from there, it's a pacesetter one, it costs around $60 and it's the best one, considering that the throw and the height is adjustable

good luck

if you order the pacesetter from carparts.com, you will wait until at least early january to get it, probably longer.. I ordered mine about a month ago and they sent me a notice a few days ago that the manufacturer failed to send them their supply so they wont have it in stock until at least 1/03/02.. Just a heads up... Maybe its worth paying $40 more and getting the SMC from Greg @ custommaxima...

no, they tried to pull that on me also, they e-mailed me and told me that it'll be delayed... bla bla bla, I called up 'em and said that I don't mind that it's being delayed, I do mind the fact that they didn't put that on the website, so since I already ordered it, I want mine delivered ASAP, they said we're sorry bla bla bla, I didn't think they would mail it to me fast, but it came within a week after my phone call, but then again, it could be easier paying greg at custommaxima.com 40 bucks and not go through the trouble

Carparts actually never used to have them in stock anyways. It was almost always shipped from Pacesetter themselves direct to you...

It took about 3 1/2 weeks for mine to arrive a few months ago...

yeah except when did you order yours? I ordered mine about a month ago, and I guess they've run out already... I called them and they said they have no way of finding out when Pacesetter will ship them the unit... So beware of carparts.com...

pacesetter's website is www.pacesetterexhaust.com . I don't think they list the Maxima shortshifter on their site though, and I doubt you can order it directly...

Go to www.custommaxima.com to contact Greg.
