anyone need/want an exhaust?

Was wondering if there was enough interest to put together a GB for Budget Exhaust (LLS). They used to make a real quality y-pipe and exhaust for us but stoped production due to the decline in demand.

I spoke to them the other day and if we were able to get enough people together that needed exhaust (b-pipe, and or rear section). It sounded like the would be willing to help us out. But he doesnt want to do a run of 25 exhaust and sit on it for two years.

Lets make this easier on us. Add your name and what product you need so that we have a better idea on numbers to give them. I know we dont have prices nailed down, but remember that Budget was one of the best priced makers of exhaust for the 4th gen so it should be resonable. Go ahead and just put down what you want and we will worry about the prices once we find out if this is even going to happen yet (in other words...if Lyle is going to even do it). obviously all of this depends on cost:

Jodie tells me that they will be starting up the process (gathering the pieces, employees) and schedule a run for the exhausts.

The price will be around:
Y-Pipe: $245 (US)
B-Pipe: $260 (US)
I asked her if this includes shipping and she told me that she needs to "calculate" of few things and would give an answer next week.

By Monday she will have more details when we call.

Sergofast, again, sorry I jumped in and hope I didn't steal your thunder, but she is expecting your call on Monday.

Their toll-free number is 1-800-256-4482
Local number is: 905-681-4579
Budget is making this very easy on us and we dont have to go through the headache of a group buy. We showed them there was still enough interest in the Maxima community for them to support us and produce their product for us.

Just a tip: If you get a B pipe....dont be cheap and get the version without the resinator! You will regret it and Jodi at Budget told me that most of the people here on the forum that purchased one without called them back in 3 months or so to get it.

I might be in as well for a Y-pipe depending on the cost. A stainless steel one.

When I called them 3 weeks ago, they said they no longer ship...

Depending on price, I may go for y-pipe.. my stock one is going fast and I'm considering a warpspeed. Post some numbers so people can at least give a firm yes or no

That is kind of sad that they no longer make or ship the Y pipe for our cars. I have a Budget Y pipe on my 96, and it is perfect! I could not ask for a better quality product. And I have no clue what anyone was talking about when they mention the "bees in a can sound". It was/is top notch stuff! I hope they get back into the game!

i had the same problem. I called a few weeks ago and they said no shipping, you'd have to bring it to the shop and have it installed.
I'd be in for a SS Y-pipe and possibly b-pipe.

wow....there is still interest for these parts. Budget made it sound like no one bought from him and he had stuff just laying around. thats a shame too because you know that they were a good custom manufacture of products for our cars. we really should support the guys that do stuff for out cars.

When i got my Budget Y-pipe i just couldnt see paying almost double for a Cattman one. bc someone said they had "bees in the can" no dummy...your exhaust just got louder because you REMOVED TO CATALYTIC CONVERTERS and it just flows better!! HARK.... where the power came from!

Ill call them tomorrow and find out what he would need as far as numbers to do a group buy and the price on the following:
Y-pipe
B-Pipe
Rear section

Please do check it up for us. I really need a new muffler section. Especially one that won't be too loud. Thanks.

About the group deal. I called Jodi at Budget and she is going to talk to Lyle. Im calling her back tomorrow and she is going to tell me the numbers and prices that we would have to pull for them to make a run of Y-pipes, B-pipes, and rear sections. This is of course....if Lyle is even willing to make them. (I believe they got fed up with all the BS about whos y-pipe is better....when there really the same...Budget made an exceptional STAINLESS STEEL product for an amazing price! But we didnt support them before so like any business....it didnt make since for them to bust their butt when the money wasnt there). Lets not F this up people!

Their product is HIGH quality and the prices are specatcular for the product you get. We really should support peopel like this that make parts for our cars. The interest I have in the 4th gen forum at this very moment is 17 y pipes, 4 b pipes, and 7 rear sections and 2 others (didnt specify).

I'd be interested in the b-pipe if it's resonated. I'm sure they would be able to do that very easily (and the price would be a little higher.) But if not resonated I wouldn't really be interested.
Thanks.
