Made my tuning Decision ;) Utec :) couple ?ss

Alright, its turned into a helluva time getting TS to agree to do a tune for a 3.5 AUTO with bolt ons. Accordingly they dont offer it as a service. So in looking at my mild list (UDP, Cattman Gen III's + 3inch cattyback, spacers, ssim, and that pretty new 3 inch intake/maf knights is making me), i was worried on being able to get a good aggressive tune.

needless to say after guidance from nmex and decked im gonna go ahead and pull the trigger lol...was looking at the shiny new torque bar from NWP...but i figure ill wait on that dump the money into management and start on the tuning. sigh...so now its a tossup between a couple systems. Im at the point of purchase where both are from G35's one was a boosted application, the other is a N/A with the same mods i have ...sadly the guy wants about 150$ more for the N/A one...Was kinda hoping to piggyback and use his tune as a base...

Got a couple concerns though
1-Will a N/A tuned utec allow for using their tune straight out of the box? Or will i be stuck starting 100% over? If i can halfway depend on this i guess itll be worth the extra money.

2-How easy is the interface to change a turbo tune to something to support what im looking at? Can I use a "copy" of someones parameters and make adjustments from there? Or would i have to start from scratch, which would increase the need for a dyno in the long run.

With one tuned for a turbo G, i figure i can use the base map and begin modding it from there....So well see how discussions go, and more to follow ...was really looking to get tollboothwillies emanage blue, but he isnt answering pms or emails **So if anyone has his personal contact info or knows if he still has it let me know, ill take it on the spot**

cant wait...6 days to redeployment.

1. You can run the UTEC right out of the box even with lots of mods for casual driving just using the stock position. TurboXS does have a modded file on their website for a modded intake and exhaust car as well for a starting point.

2. The UTEC does not allow modifying the stock setting at position 0. The others you can just copy the appropriate file from their website to start so it doesn't matter what the previous owner has done.

Download the manual and read it at least 5 times before you begin modifying the settings.

Brotha, ill probably read it fifty five times lol. Just wanted to make sure, because i was going to offer the extra money for the one with the appropriate tune, but with the gem youve given i can go ahead and start with something pretty much thatll have me in the park. i really appreciate it, other than that ive been able to answer everything else. just wanted to know before paying the other guy . thx.

The remote map selector is a super handy gizmo for switching maps at the push of a button and fits directly into one of the seat heater plugs etc. I wouldn't be without it.
