lowering vehicle
I'm looking for some advice as far as which direction to go to lower my car. I want it lowered but not to the point where the ride is significantly tampered with. Thinking like a 1.7 in the front and a 1.5 in the rear. Just enough to flush out with the 19s I got on there now. Struts and springs or just coilovers is my question. Also which products should I look into as well as the ones I should stay away from.
thanks for any suggestions.

I'm gonna be the first to tell nicely before people start gettin pissed. Search. There's about a million drop threads with info on all sorts or products, drops, and what parts you need. Once again, the search bar is your friends, and keeps all the .org members off your a**
progress offers that exact drop I believe, and with some tokico illuminas the ride is beautiful. However if you can afford tein ss coilovers (1400 I THINK) than definitely go with those.

I did do a little search and found a million and 1 answers. I didn't want to post this in the classifieds so that I wouldn't get reamed. I figured it was a "general discussion" topic. Didn't mean to not follow "org" rules. Thanks for the answers for those who answered in relevance.

I had 20's on my max for a few months the ride was wack, i sold them n getting some 18x8.5 soon im also looking to drop it down about 1.5 as well to sit n ride right let me know how it goes for u when done. Thanks.
My old car was lowered more and on OEM struts and didn't feel like it was catching air when hitting expansion heaves on the express way...Coilovers are suppose to be good for these cars tho.
For spring/strut combos around your desired height, do a Progress/Illumina or H&R/Illumina.
IF you wanna go lower, get coilovers.
H&R + Illuminas + FTSB + RSB + LTD = great handling without being too harsh
I have all of that except a LTD which I've haven't heard of. I also have ES LCA bushings, Moog balljoints and swaybar links. It may just be the valving of the Illuminas that I don't care for more than anything. The highspeed damping rate it too high even at the lowest settings, static damping is about right for all settings though.
