Lost 10ths at the track with upgrades

Old best with just Ypipe and cai. slipping clutch. 9.7

New best with new clutch, fidenza flywheel, quieter muffler. 9.9's all day.

The car launched much better my most recent trip but the times are slower. car even felt faster but im losing time.

Could it be dirty O2's? I have gotten a cps code but i think it was a grounding issue.

Track conditions may account for the difference but shouldn't a car with my mods run a little better in the 1/8th mile, given I am a good driver.

what kind of muffler u put on? Good flow?? That me yur problem. I would say get a bullet muffler w/ removable silencer and see how numbers look. If u reinstalled factory muffler than yeah i wd say u wd lose time.

Don't hack the muffler off. Unbolt your cat and run an open Y-pipe.

Left it hooked up. Got my 9.7 back with a slipping clutch. ACT stage 1 is either glazed or defective. Why is the bend at the O2 bung so ****ty? Anyways thats another story. Next time to the track will be with a 00vi and possibly cat back. a new clutch alone would get me 1 or 2 tenths.

With a new clutch you probably have less traction off the line causing a slower E.T.

tires are good. I could launch at 3200 rpm and it would bog but at 3500 it roasted the tires. Damn that VQ powerband.!! but like i said i was able to run 9.7sec runs all night so its looking like clean O2s and fixing my pipes will be my best solution. The clutch turned out to be ok. it was just hot from the drive down and then hot lapping. Been shifting hard on it today and its grabbing pretty strong, still not strong enough to bark/spin 2nd but that's ok. My 00vi should come in this week and then I should see some real improvements.
