Ok so I went to the movies, the car was driving fine, as im leaving i realize the car was idling low and it wouldn't let me rev pass 2k while driving, so i change maf and tps, checked fuel pressure and all that, same problem. Then i switched back to the stock ecu and the car is idling fine and letting me rev out. wtf is going on?

Sounds like you already found the problem by process of elimination.

it was your MAF.

Is that your final answer?

I'd guess JWT ecu was the culprit.

Hmm, even though process of elimination points to the JWT, that still sounds very much like a MAF problem. Maybe the ECU's connection was loose or something? Try throwing the JWT back in and see if it works now or has the same problem.

Mine did similar when MAF was unplugged, or by trying to run the car without an air intake attatched....

First time Ive heard an issue like this being caused by a JWT programmed ECU.

Throw back in the JWT ECU and see what happens.

Defective doesn't mean completely fried. If the ECU were dead, JWT would be correct in saying that it doesn't work. What you have is an ECU with probably one loose connection causing it to get a weak/no signal from a perfectly good MAF and likely no other problems. As with any company, since you've done all the eliminating and know what the problem is, just be persistent and eventually they'll listen.

I'm sorry... but where you getting codes for anything or did you just decide to get new maf and tps? and how long was the ecu in the car before this happened? because then it could be a loose connection.. or even on install you might not have put the harness back in all the way and caused a shock to damage something internally.. I'm sure you could open it and check for any visible damage.

OP. this situation you're having happened to me too! even though the car that it happened to me on, was a 3rd gen.
my situation was slightly different. about 9 years ago when i had saved up enough money for my JWT ECU upgrade, i drove out to Stillen and swapped out my stock ECU for the Stillen one, right in the parking lot. installed it and everything was going wrong.
car would idle erractic and would downright even shut off. it would pull hard though if i gunned it but nonetheless, the car sucked to drive when not under WOT.
told Stillen the problem and they told me the same BS, that it was my fault and i dont know what im doing.
put the factory ECU back in my car and voila'! problem went away. car idled fine! performance was gone though, but it drove fine.
Stillen got ahold of JWT and JWT took back the ECU and were going to replace it with another one within a week.
week later i went to go pick up a new JWT ECU and install it and everything was fine. they said they had to reprogram the daughter board and that was it.
