OK, Now my ignition ring light won't work
I pulled my ignition ring light so I could check the wires for running my puddle light LED's. I used my voltmeter to probe the light socket. I'm showing the red wire having a constant 12V, and the yellow wire having a constant 4V. When you hit the unlock button for the doors, the light should illuminate. I then get 12V at the yellow wire also. I plugged my LED back into the socket, and now it won't light at all. I pulled every mini fuse in both fuse panels underhood, and in the fuse panel under the steering wheel, and all fuses are intact. If I flip the LED around, then it will light very dimly when it is supposed to be lit, and when it is supposed to go out, it lights brightly. I'm figuring that way, I've got the bulb in backwards. When I flip the bulb around, I get nothing at all.
I even pulled the OEM incandescent bulb and put it back into the socket, and it will not light at all either. My dome lights come on when you hit the unlock button, stay on for 30 seconds, and then shut off. The ignition ring light should be illuminated for the same 30 seconds, but I'm getting nothing. Maybe I shorted something when I was probing the socket with my DVM leads?
If anybody can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. All other lights/functions seem to be working.
Please don't give me any responses like "check your fuses"...I've checked every fuse in all 3 boxes, and none are blown. I'm thinking maybe a bad relay, but I've got no idea which one it would be.

I don't know what to tell you to fix is something is fried. Maybe you could wire up a relay off the dome lights to the key ring?? Just bypass what ever may have stopped working?
Is there only a red and yellow wire off the key ring? Was the yellow wire always showing 4 volts before it stopped working? Maybe it's only supposed to show ground?? Don't know too much about LEDs but shouldn't it only see a power and ground to illuminate?

According to the FSM, the Red/Green wire is the "battery saver output". If I am understanding this correctly, this wire should be used to "sense" if the light is on for 30 minutes, and will then be used to switch it off, to keep from killing the battery. This is pin 56.
I'm not sure what to make of this, and whether the red/green should have constant power or not. Both wires are controlled by the BCM, and a 10amp fuse in the cabin fuse panel. The fuse is fine...checked it twice. Not sure why I've got a constant 12V at the red/blue. The yellow/green seems to be doing what it is supposed to. When you unlock the doors, it is sending 12V for 30 seconds. I'm thinking the constant 12V at the red/green is what's causing the problem, but I'm not sure. I would think if I did something that I would be having problems with the other things on that timer circuit, but the dome lights still come on for the 30 seconds, just like they are supposed to.
Curious how you were able to get to the ring. Sorry to jack the tread (if anyone thinks I am) but all I wanted to do was change the ring color from orange to white. Any help on removing to get to the ring and changing the bulb would be appreciated. From an electrical standpoint, I agree with 1hawaii50. I don't think there is a constant power for this because of what he said earlier, talking about the battery saver output. When you checked everything were the other lights working (door, vanity, etc). The constant power when you unlock the doors should remain constant, that's what lights up the vanity and door lights. Once you start (turn to ACC) the car or close the doors, the lights go off. Keep us posted
