for a color like that you'd need to be way more agressive:

drop
rims with nice low offsets
front lip(?) (ionic is fiberglass, nyc roads suck)

If you did these it would look hot.

I personally can't stand red (for my cars) as it attracts too much attention, IMO.

On the other hand, it's not too wild a color and you'd almost certainly be guaranteed to never encounter another red I30.

thnx...yea you're absolutely right...am not going for the paintjob rightaway...i just wanted to see what it would look like just to get an idea...plan on gettin everything little by little...rims first..front lip shouldn't be dat much of a problem but a drop might be

thanks..i respect your opinion...the color of your car does play a major role in attracting attention...but anything visually nice about your car could also attract abt the same amount of attention as well...like nice rims, sound of your exhaust, etc ...back when i was living in Dubai i saw a bunch of A33 Maximas[gulf spec] in red and i think they looked pretty hot.
here's an example that i was able to find
[link] http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2424037/2

what color would you suggest tho?

I'm boring when it comes to paint - give me a black, silver, gray, or white car any day.

I personally don't like the look of that car you posted (from Dubai), but my main objection doesn't really relate to the color.

I don't think red will look bad, it's just not a color I'd ever have on one of my cars. For me, I like to speed, and fly "under the radar." Every one of my friends who ever had a red car had an inordinate number of speeding tickets, hence I always refer to it as "arrest-me red." Maybe it had nothing to do with the color and everything to do with the driver, but still, I don't like colors that stand out.

I personally like the way your car is right now. But i'm just like MetaOrbit though. I want silver, black, or white. Only reason I picked up my color i30 is because I got an amazimg deal on it.

I think it would look pretty good in red. Its different, but certainly not ugly. An I30/35 would pull it off nicely if done right. I've thought about doing the same red color myself sometime down the line.

I am also boring when it comes to paint colors. There was a red I30 on Craigslist a while ago and I did not care for it. But, if you like it that's what's important.

The g20 came in a lot of funky colors.

I prefer the very standard european luxury colors in my wannabe luxury car. Black, green, light blue. Pearl white. silver

Gold obviously. Nothing flashy.

Much prefer your car in silver.

Agreed - like a nice candy apple red maybe? Fire engine red might be a bit overpowering for an Infiniti, but really, any 'flavor' of red I think would be original, and a welcome change from the usual silver or champagne colors that you see EVERYWHERE.

There's just something sexy about candy apple red. The shadows change the color to almost black. Sexy as hell.

I agree with this man. Infinitis aren't really the type for bright colors. A 300zx yes, but then I'd go all out with lime green if I had one.

i think the stock silver looks a lot better.. idk i never really liked "red" color on the I30 .. but hmm i would say drop it by 2" also get a set of 19" don't go with 20's ... what you can do is two tone your i30 .. or i really like the white color here's a nice white one

http://www.vqpower.com/images/i35kit/I35REAR1_copy.jpg

but if you do decided to go with red.. do your other mods first sch as drop.. rims.. body kit etc....

keep us updated on your mods .. hope i helped
