N2MB WOT box

ok i've received my box and am trying to figure out the wiring.....has anyone hooked this up yet?

i basically need to know where to find the power wire going towards the ignition coils and the power wire away from coils. I also need to find the ignition control signal. everything else is self explanatory. anyone know where i can find these? I've tried looking on alldata.com but can't seem to find anything other than ecu pinouts which somewhat help but not for coil power going in and out.
Connector Pinout
Pin Color AWG Name

yea i was wondering if the 350z directions would work....not to a T obviously...but the yellow wire which under the description is rpm...i tapped that into number 5 green/white wire from ecu for tach....where the 350z instructions say to tap of the crank pos sensor. also the power wire going to the coils on the z is white/blue and i found a white/blue one and tapped off of it but i didn't think that was it so i then cut and soldered the fat red wire underneath the tape/wrap of the stock harness which i was thought was the power wire to the coils.....

Anyway not to keep rambling, but i basically wired the box up and with key on ignition off at fully throttle the led blinks rapidly just like the directions say it should. also when i press the switch (green wire) aka clutch switch if i wired it up there the led will go out which signals ignition cut then start blinking rapidly again for WOT shifting. my question is, is that red wire the power for the coils? the only thing i can think because when i start it and do it it won't cut ignition is the yellow wire is hooked up incorrectly or the red and red/black black for coils to cut ignition....

Nealoc- u have any idea? because the "all other vehicles" installation guide says to tap the yellow wire into fuel driver signal/ignition coil signal.

ok i tapped into the "fat" red wire on the front of the harness next to VC and ran the yellow wire to fuel injector six. anyway i wired up my "clutch switch" to my res/accel button so i started the car pressed the button and went wide open. 2 step is set at 4k. seems like it was very slow like wumm bumm.....bummmm..bumm....and everytime it hit the 2step the rpms would drop like it wouldn't hold the rpm....

any help?

I started with no guide to install mine, either. Just be patient and use your research skills and it's not so bad. I'll give you a big hint though.

I don't know why he highlighted that particular area since all of my ignition wires were tapped around the IPDM (Power Distribution Module) harness. I'm using the same box minus the WOT shifting. Didn't need it for the nitrous, even though after I bought it they released the ability to utilize a window/WOT switch for the juice. Not willing to pay more, haha.

Use the '99 Maxima FSM. I believe it's the same.

As per the FSM the yellow wire connects to the white wire near the crank position sensor. I believe the red wire you're using goes back to a relay.

The big red wire for ignition signal is correct. Remember to get it before it splits. Red connects to the end that goes back to the ignition, the black goes to the coil-packs. That's the "ignition in" and "ignition out." FSM doesn't say **** about where it's located but I'm going to guess that you already found it.

Hope this helps,
Gene

There is more than 1 place to tap that wire... I tapped it right there because it was most convenient for me.

Ah, true. Sorry.

Thanks for letting me on to the N2MB box. Works great. With my current nitrous controller setup I'm using it has a gear lock out switch that works perfectly. So launch at 3k and then as soon as I shift into second and hit the gas it sprays. Only thing that sucks is I have to go through a few extra steps with the window switch when it comes time for a roll race. Haha!

ok so it is NOT the small red wire with the silver dot? i cut that wire yesterday thinking that was it judging by the pic......anyway without being connected car cranks but wont start and with them off each end of the WOT box the car will start.....

the fat red wires do NOT split on my car lol.....at least i haven't found where because they both go from relay box all the way towards the firewall....

You could do 1 of 2 things. 1. Open the wire loom where i circled in the picture, get your FSM and figure out the wire coloring for the correct wire, then set up the wot box properly according to the instructions. 2. do what I did (and spent hours doing) and follow the wires back from the source until you find where they all converge towards the driver's side of the engine, then set up the wot box properly according to the instructions.

Either way, you're good to go.

Installed the WOT Box on my buddy's TT 350Z yesterday. Worked right off the bat, pretty sweet. Install took about 2 hours between tearing the dash apart to get to the harness, wiring it in, and putting it back together. PC software worked like a charm too with no BS install. Just download the program and the driver and double click to install. That's it.

so which color wire is it exactly for the ignition coils.. I'm trying to put this in a boosted 5.5 gen and have had little success with the FSM in trying to identify the color of the wire. Any help is appreciated

I didn't want to start hacking up the whole harness, so I just marked off all the wires that I knew, and just used a multimeter to take care of the rest. Works great, i have it set at 4k right now and builds enough boost even with the boost leak.
