Ghustle back at it again...

went to the track today as the weather was beautiful, i believe iv e got a new PB on a few things, go multiple runs in...
coming straight off the highway from about a 45min drive back and forth i pulled
R/T .213
60' 2.206
330 6.118
1/8 9.282
mph 78.78
1000 11.977
1/4 14.274
mph 98.75 (now coming straight off the highway with this pull here i knew i was in for a good night
next run
another 14.2 (lost the slip)
14.3@98.69
after those runs and i let the car cool for a bit then it got more consistent and faster
13.88@100.?? (i dont remember my co_worker has some of my timeslip, he will take pics and ill upload em)
13.84@100.??
then the break through came
R/T .066
60' 2.087
330 5.787
1/8 8.816
mph 81.79
1000 11.456
1/4 13.704
mph 100.18

my last pass was a 13.999 (the dream time for breaking 13's )

im amped but at the same time very frustrated at two things (well just a tad upset at 1) im upset that i couldnt improve my MPH, but i dont wanna sound like one of those ppl who "thinks this" and "thinks that" but i know for a fact that the car is a low 13.6 maybe high 13.5's as it sits, something is up with my 3rd gear that i need to figure out, the trans shifts slow to 3rd (hence having to early shift then wait for the car to respond, the delay doesnt make the car feel any slower though) and while in 3rd i can feel the delay in acceleration at 5.25rpm like shown on my dyno graph... that dip in power has my rpm needle climbs then kinda pause for about a second at most then climb again, i need to find out what that is and run the car again as i know for a fact that there is more in it...

Good job. I'm hoping for 13's myself the next time I get to the track...I'd even be happy with that 13.99 you talked about. Being an auto i may need drag radials though. Is your full mod list in your sig?

Did you fix the codes you were throwing? Congrats on a new PB! You're just making it harder for perk to catch up

Glad you hit 13s. I was expecting to do the same, but probably should have let the car cool down as well (ran about 6 times - last time my clutch acted up). I normally can crack 100MPH, before I added the TS ECU L-SPEC, but it just wasn't happening--I ran with you on one of your runs - Silver Altima 5SPD.

Good times but that gutted stock cat could be hurting you. You should either sleeve it or install a test pipe.

the dip in the dyno graph was there with just the stock cat and the gutted cat... what do u mean "sleeve it"???

Not just referring to whatever particular dip in power you happen to be experiencing at the time, but speaking in general terms. A stock gutted cat slows down exhaust velocity and can create turbulence. Sleeving basically amounts to running a 2.5" pipe through the cat so the I/D is consistent (like with a test pipe).

My car was doing the same thing now That i did the solenoids it's like a new car. and the dr mod really helps with the 2nd to 3rd shift btw/

Instead of a test pipe you could buy a cut out and have flanges welded on it. That way it bolts up in the spot that the cat does and voila...Best of both worlds...Cut out and test pipe in one. Either way, congrats again on the mid 13 run.
