5th gen sun visors in a 4th gen?

Anyone do it? I want the newer homelink and I like the fact the 5th gen visors have the slide-out shade. Just not sure if it will fit.

2ks and 2k1s are popping up in Junkyards nowadays, they can't be terribly expensive, just take the dive and try it out, hell If I find one today during my shopping experience I'll try it out too.

I have 99 visors in the garage and a 2000 being parted out. I can check and see how it looks.

news flash: 00 GXEs don't have that sliding out thing that the OP mentioned, also no homelink (should be obvious but just to help those who don't know that GXEs didn't have that feature).

::edit::
01 AE doesn't have it either, but I called a few 02-03 owners and it appears to be a 5.5gen feature!!! Which means that makes it ever so much harder to find lol.

I also don't recall my 01 SE having that sliding thing either but I did have homelink.

My 00 GLE has home link and the sliding out piece.

The mount is 2-3" off where it snaps in place. Not going to work with out some mods.

I dont know what you mean by newer home link. 97 or 98+ are all the same, rolling code compatible. They all look the same.

I believe the early home links, what I have on my 97, are not rolling code compatible. The "newer" ones with a little house surrounding the red light are rolling code compatible.
