0703 after cleaning egr

so after cleaning my egr tube it cleared my 0302 code for egr, but after about 50 miles i got code 0703. from what i gathered it could indicate an air intake leak, i did replace the tb gasket but not the iacv gasket could this be where my problem is?

Getting code 0703 shortly after remounting various air intake components then an air leak is probably the culprit. I installed a new IACV yesterday but I didn't bother replacing the gasket. While cleaning the IACV last fall the old gasket was still solid so I just applied gasket sealant to the gasket yesterday.

With the engine idling spray a can of throttle body or air intake cleaner around those components you remounted. If you have an air leak then the cleaner will get drawn in. Don't bother using the straw.

Highly doubt it. I would back track to all the hoses that you disconnected to remove the job. Check to make sure that all of them is connected and the hoses do not have any tears in them.

I cleaned my throttle body and egr last weekend. Got a leak. Ended up being the seal in the TB.

Oh yeah? I also did my valve covers with all the gaskets at the top replaced with OEM gaskets and I don't get leaks....unless maybe you did not tighten it enough.

No I needed a new gasket. The carbon that had built up had been sealing the leak, and when it got cleaned out... Well, yea haha
