I have it... and to be honest, it's ok. Given the option of keeping the restrictive OEM Cat v. Hi-Flow Cat, I would do it all over again. The exhaust sound is much more throatier, but that's with my HKS Sport Exhaust. I had some minor fitment issues, but I was able to convince the bolts to line up just fine. On the negative side, it's shiny and it makes me want to replace my Y Pipe and After - Cat pipes with something shiny as well. If you are lowered at all, the hi-flow cat is much narrower than the OEM Cat.

Just my .02

It's a rip off. You can get the same thing on eBay for $32 shipped.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CONVE...Q5fAccessories

I have this on my 2002.

Even though it says "95-99", this is the one you want for the 2000-2003 also. The one that says it's for 2000-2003 is actually an inch too long.

To be honest, I regret getting rid of my main cat. It is not that restrictive and I can't stand the smell.

yea to me the CM one looks exactly like the ebay one which is what i have. it does give off a nice throaty sound. i have no fitment issues with mine. payed 30 shipped and easy to install. also gives my headers a beautiful sound.

Hmm, and then you read this: "Add more horsepower to your vehicle (10-15)"

When a seller says crap like that, you have to ask yourself... do you feel lucky?

I think it's gonna be **** just like the company and it's customer service. Custom maxima is nothing but eBay with a name on it.

I was looking into custommaxima exhaust stuff a few months ago before I decided to spend my life savings and right arm on a full Cattman setup. Custommaxima is just ebay stuff!!! I'm not saying some of it isn't worth having, but just buy it on ebay instead at a much cheaper price...

... the exhaust is the same one from ebay so why not buy from ebay (which aint a problem).... it goes to show that people dont think sometimes people buy the ebay product from a 3rd party at a more expensive price just to say they didnt buy it from ebay ............ smart

That is the worst. That's why I now have a fastcat.

It's just a pipe. Ebay it.

I think the gist of these comments is not to avoid hi-flow cats, but to avoid buying a cheap one from a particular retailer.

Well a hi flow cat is going to burn out pretty quick and my inspection sticker is good till 2011. I ll keep the old cat and when i sell the car or get it inspected ill throw the old one on or just get a o2 simulator. And get a test pipe.

IMO those so called hi flow cats are a bunch of bull i just purchased one of them from a JDM place and let me tell you there is nothing in this thing but a perferated tube i would like to know how that works like a converter, the only true hi flow ones i have seen are the ones CattMan and other Real manufacturers offer they may be cheap but those ebay and webstore ones just are not going to cut it through a emissions test so i do suggest adding another $70 and buying a real cat.

yeah that is funny really. The JDM part means nothing to me. i just bought from the first place that google shopping pulled up when i was looking for the Cat.only used the crap for 2 weeks my old cat was putting out the egg smell and used it to see if it was the pre cats stinking things up or the main one.Turned out to be the pre cats anyway.which sucks!

I bought one from CustomMaxima at the same time I bought their cat-back system. Got em both shipped for 279 in June. Heard all the chatter about it being the same as the ebay one, but they weren't (and still aren't) selling that system for that price. I'm happy with mine, it sounds good, a little on the loud side. Bolted up just fine. But if you can find just the high flow cat for cheaper, they're probs all similar.
