WTB a stock OEM tailpipe assembly...live in socal and need smog test done
I have a '96 Maxima SE. My tailpipe assembly needs to be replaced. The weld between the muffler and the pipe that runs from the muffler to the cat converter (the b-pipe, right?) corroded away so now I've got a little bit louder and a little bit rattlier exaust :P
I haven't done anything about it for almost a year because it didn't noticeably impede my engine performance for the type of driving I do (commute, leisure, everyday), but of course it is finally time for registration renewal and I need to get a smog test done since it's been 2 years
I doubt they'll let it pass if/when they discover what's going on with the tailpipe. So anyways...that's the story. If you live in the San Diego or LA area, or anywhere I suppose, and you're reading this and you happen to have an OEM tailpipe assembly in good condition, let me know please!
