Price to repaint doors, bumpers, rear trunk?

Anyone care to ballpark the price of a repaint for my 95 Ruby Pearl on the doors, bumpers, and rear trunk? Not a MAACO repaint, but a legit repaint that will look decent. I was guessing around $2k? Minor bodywork (filler) would need to be done on these surfaces as well.

I paint cars for a living so i wll share some of my knowlege on this

Your color is expensive. reds in general cost more then most colors, and if its a true pearl coat tri stage paint its gonna jump the price even more. so expect to pay about $300 in extra costs because of the paint.

Your car is an 95 back then nissan had horriable paint that was notorious for fading and sometimes peeling. If you have parts painted you will see a difference, even if the color is 100% and exact match (which can never happen). My advice is just have the entire car shot. At that age with that kinda fade it will look bad if you dont paint it all.

IMO a quality paint job should cost between 2-3k plus any body work that maybe needed. Granted more expensive paint can be done but spending 5 or 6 times the value of the car in paint isnt really worth it.

If the car isn't mint, I'd say just source better condition ruby red doors, trunk, and bumpers from a junk yard, classifieds, or car-part.com

its such a rare and unfortunate color (my moms choice) that its hard to find replacement. I have parking damages to the rear doors on both left and right sides, and some rust along the leading edge of the front driver door.

I agree, it is a rare color although not as rare as Dark Blue Pearl. I see ruby reds here at my JY all the time. My cousin owns a 95 Ruby Red and when she got in an accident we couldn't find any parts her color so we got aftermarket primered parts and a month later there's a mint one at the jy lol.

I've owned my 95 for 2 years and I've been patiently looking for blue parts, the driver side fender I couldn't wait anymore and just bought a $30 aftermarket fender and paid $140 at Maaco to paint it, came out very close... most people can't even tell.

Okay, I will keep that in mind. I will hunt around a bit more, I have actual damage to these doors rather than just minor dings, so I would be best to buy some good looking used doors and then have them sprayed to match the car. Absolute color match isnt so much important as just not having the damage.

Since its not a show car and for the age, I will go find the closest matching aftermarket paint to match your car.
