New 96 in the family

I've been on here a while but I own a 3rd gen. My nephew bought a 96 maxima yesterday with 146,xxx engine and tranny excellent, it's lowered and has no body rust, but minor body damage, bought it for $1100, but it needs radio, right corner light, hub caps, PWS, and three door strips LF,LR,RR, also check engine light on. Codes are KS, L/R o2 and EGRC solenoid valve, it should have a cleaner look soon, going to the junk yard today to get the minor parts.

Change the o2 and the KS code might go away. Rock auto had a Denso direct fit o2 for less than $60.00 shipped. If the KS is bad, and probably is, go Ebay for $20.00.

I'm curious as to what the car is lowered on (springs, struts, coilovers, etc.)

I have a 96' and it was completely stock for 4 months with no codes and as soon as I added the warp-y pipe, code thrown a week later, I can't actualy hear OR feel the leak, but my mech. says its just more air throwing off the o2.

3 O2 sensors in a 96. 2 in y pipe and one in cat, its not a 97-99 setup. Also, try oxygensensors.com they were great with me. DO NOT DO A 20.00 KS!! Mine lasted 3 months, do the 60.00 OEM one.

So o2 code can cause a KS code, and exhaust leak can cause 02 code well I know where to start.
