I'm looking to buy wheel spacers/studs for a 99 I30 but need input on how to get it flush. Tried searching but couldn't find anyone with a somewhat similar setup I'm going for.

Anyways, it'll be fitted with 18x8's +40 wrapped in 225/40's. Car will be dropped approximately 2.2" on coilovers. I'm trying to get it as flush as possible. Would 10mm spacers (rear) and 5mm spacers (front) get it there or not? If not, then what would be the optimum choice? The car's in the shop so I can't take measurements and try to calculate it myself. Would rather a knowledgeable person school me first before I do try to measure myself so I have a base idea of what range I should be in.

That spacing sounds right,but i wouldn't buy anything with being able to measure it for exact fit. If you buy them and it doesnt fit just right, you might have to buy ANOTHER SET!!?

So, just wait it out to be safe, because the rear needs to be measured closely depending on your wheel choice; but 5 and 10 sounds about right.

 

Will do. I was thinking the same thing. My wheels and tires actually came in today at Sears (Tire Rack's affiliate) which got me amped. I purchased them along with an alignment. For now what I'll be doing is getting them mounted and balanced. Then I'll purchase the spacers and slap em on, and then tweak the coilovers to achiveve the flushness I'm looking for and finally go back to Sears to finish up with the alignment.

To get the most accurate measurements, where should I be measuring from? Top of the tire, wheel, center of the wheel or what?

i guess, since your worrying about flush look and not performance fitment.. measure from the tire face to the fender face. whatever distance that is SPACER IT!!

Yup I don't plan to track her or anything. Shes going to be a DD that'll be driven spiritedly most of the time so more for looks but still in for performance.

Recommended spacer brands anyone? Good/horror experiences to share?

 

if you need longer studs let me know.. i have a set of nismo studs available.
