hey guys.

I know this has nothing to do with my old maxima, but the same stuff may apply to my other car..

So i replaced the motor on my car. But since Everything, and i mean EVERYTHING. is hooked up, plugged in, and good to go.

the engine just spins over and over, but won't attempt to start. All the spark plugs are in, and it just sounds like it isn't making any compression at all.

I'm getting, fuel and fire.

Also, i have a Viper alarm system. do you think my alarm system might have something to do with it? Because i can hit the "remote start" button on the remote, and it will just buzz and flash the red light.

because normally, when you hit the button, it will turn green and start the car. But someone told me. Maybe my alarm system disabled a main relay or something causing the car to not crank. And he said, it's possible, from swapping out that motor to another one may have "set off" the viper alarm.

so i dunno. what do you guys think?

You could always bypass the alarm if you think that's your problem. Personally, with a motor change there are too many variables to ask someone to guess with the limited information given here. I would, however, suggest verifying the obvious big 3. This is probable an easy fix after you find the problem. The hard part is verifying that 'EVERYTHING' really is connected. Could take awhile. Just be patient.
BTW, what kind of vehicle is it. I don't believe you ever stated.

You really should be more specific according to the forum guidelines. But, I digress.

I am not going to say that it will not fit but you will have a lot of work to do in order for it to work..
