squeeking? with whiteline/superpro bushings?

Hi!,

just installed some whiteline/super pro caster bushings in my maxima, along with some new moog ball joints, and new es swap bar bushes. The install went well, however i get a squeeking noise with every bump i hit? I used the white grease that the caster bushings came with. Lubed the control arm hole, and the outter ribs of the bushing. Also same deal with the sway bar bushings.

any ideas? are these bushings supposed to squeek that much?

they shouldn't squeak if you applied the grease correctly. tear it apart and relube them.. that's one of the drawbacks of poly bushings- you have to lube them on a regualr basis to keep them from squeaking. either that, or use the black bushigns from ES. They're impregnated with graphite and I've never had a problemw ith them squeaking.

grrr.. i hate breaking the ball joints loose from the knuckle.. but i guess ill apply some more ky jelly to them..

I still have my es bushings just in case this sqeeking doesn't stop.

also my roomate got some of these extended ball joints for his dc2 integra.. they almost look identical to the ones i put in my a32.. anyone look into something like this?

I have the same bushings on my control arms and they only squeak if the poly gets dirty and has no more lube. Last month I took off the control arms and cleaned/lubed the poly bushings to get rid of any little squeaks I was getting.

If you are sure they are properly cleaned and lubed they should not squeak. Did you TQ all the bolts to the proper specifications? Maybe if they are to tight or loose that could cause some squeaks.

no i didn't torque the bolts down to spec. Just kinda did it by feel.

I got a small packet of white lube, i'm assuming it's lithium grease?

Good for you, but I am pretty sure the noise will come back anytime soon...Just need to keep your eyes on them and lube them
