Gas Gauge Sticks around a 1/4 tank...

My gas gauge seems to be sticking around the 1/4 tank remaining area on the way down to empty. Obv this is pretty anoying.

That isnt the only problem however. the needle seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. It seems to jump around whenever it wants, moving from half full to 3/4's and other random readings.

Has anyone experienced this or have any solution ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like a bad fuel sending unit. We had this problem on our Armada, turned out that they had a bunch of defective units, and they actually had to issue a recall. Not sure if its the same on our Maxima, but to change the sending unit required dropping the fuel tank.
