WTB: a favor from someone in or around NJ

I recently bought a vq35 and a couple other parts from Revo75 here on the org. I received the parts with no problem a few days after payment, but I haven't gotten the engine yet. I've talked with him back and forth for a few weeks now. He originally told me via text that the engine had gone to the crating company on Aug 31, when it really had not. On Sept 8, I found out that he was working through some personal issues (no problem) and had lost access to the company vehicles he was using to move the engine (again no problem) and he would rent a truck to get this engine shipped in the next few days (great ). Tried to get in touch with him again around Sept 17 when I still had not heard anything concerning the engine. I didn't get a reply back from him until Sept 20. He said that he had still not gotten the engine to the crating company because he wasn't old enough to rent a truck. He went on to say that he would be able to rent a truck from Home Depot (only have to be 21 to rent a truck, not 25?) and would get it to the crating company last night. Today, I haven't been able to get in touch with him, so I'm just going to assume that it did not get there. I am looking to pay someone with access to a truck (rental or not) to drop by Revo's place and take the engine to the crating company (said it was less than 10 miles from him). Once the engine is delivered to the crating company, everything should be ready to go from there. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to throw Revo under a bus, but it looks like he could use a hand. I'd you if you would do it for free, but I'm willing to pay. Make me an offer. (Not sure how much it would be to rent a truck. I've got about $100 to work with, maybe a little more.) PM me for details and thanks for looking.

Wow thats pretty crappy man, for this reason i try to find out typically what age group my seller is in....anyone under 21 i typically try not to buy from unless its a steal lol, however i wish you luck with this....why dont you try to get a freight carrier to get the engine from his residence alot of trailer companies will do it for a fee i believe...

He is over 21, I just wasn't sure if HD would rent to someone under 25. I spoke with him this morning and was told that he was able to rent the HD truck, but the crater closed early. We were looking to keep costs down if possible. The freight company will be able to pick up the engine from the crater without charging me an extra $100+ for a lift-gate. For now, I think we finally have the situation worked out. Again, thanks for looking.

you must be getting one heck of a deal if you gonna have an engine shipped from NJ to AL for a 4th gen. Around here, these engines are a dime a dozen. Hope everything works out well. You sound like a very reasonable person. Patient too. Good luck.
