2002 air leaks/hiss through rear doors
2002 air leaks/hiss through rear doors
Is this a known issue? Had my son sitting in the back seat when we went out to dinner tonight and he said that he could hear an air leak in the same spot on both rear doors at freeway speed.
He said the leak was at the back of the small window at the rear of the doors.
The door seals look ok, I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this and how to remedy it.

Almost every 5th gen I know of has this issue.
It's also one of the easiest to fix.
ShiftIce.com has a nice writeup on how to do it. Basically, all you do is stuff some kind of soft foam in between the weather stripping and door jam to stop the noise.
