Car shaking on take off after flywheel and clutch upgrade

Hey guys,

I just changed my clutch to stage 3 and got a fidanza flywheel, and also got a new motor. Since the change when pulling off out of 1st unless i launch from about 2k rpm the car does this shake before it pulls off. Its moving forward as it shakes, but its shaking/jerking, whatever you wanna call it. But its doing it. Why? and what can be done to remedy this issue?

thanks

maybe your clutch is too harsh for the tranny? stage 3 is a bit much. maybe the clutch is mis aligned too

I put in a stiff clutch on an older car I used to have and it had the same symptom. Turned out I had to upgrade to stiffer motor mounts.

That's a possibility. According the the FSM, things to check for P1320 are:
* Harness or connectors - (The ignition primary circuit is open or shorted.)
* Power transistor unit built into ignition coil
* Condenser
* Crankshaft position sensor (REF)
* Crankshaft position sensor (REF) circuit

Because of weak motor mounts, the engine is shaking as the clutch is engaging. The clutch plate grabs the flywheel, causes a drag and the engine rocks. With weak/soft motor mounts, the engine rocks more than it should and then bounces back in the other direction. This keeps happening until the clutch is fully engaged.

Maybe the shaking has pulled on some wire harness connector, and maybe the code is just unfortunate timing, unrelated to the clutch situation.

i gotta check it out this week... i saw that post about the p1320 code. ill check it out during the week. Ive already spent a substantial amount of money on this little setup, so i dont want to have to spend any more serious money right now to remedy this issue. But the shaking thing is first priority because unless i damn near launch the car it shakes. But past just pulling off shes a monster. Pulls like a bat outta hell now

are you turbo or sc with 300+ torque? why do u have a stage 3......

this is pretty normal given that stiff clutches grip pretty hard, engagement is pretty much a hit or miss. you'll benefit from ES motor mounts and NWP torque link but it will not make it go away.

not yet, but i plan to. Im gonna go turbo. So since i was swapping the motor i decided to do everything at the same time since it was all gonna be out.
