6MT Axles these days?

What are you guys getting for axles these days? I'm going on my 4th passenger side axle. Tired of swapping them out. Raxles said they were working on something, and failed. Anyone doing anything different from buying one from the dealer or car-part?

what is causing the axle to fail?
And what symptom do you get? Usually they only need replaced if the CV boot cracks.

Are there any AREs n(Automotive Rebuild Exchanges) in the area?

I usually sell aftermarket remans or sometimes new aftermarket axles.

Ricerocket, shop around on the Internet, the ones for Automatic trans run $65-75 each, the ones for MT and LSD run more, but I think you can still get them for about $100 each.

thanks, for the link, i will check it out, My car is a 6 speed with the HLSD.. i called auto zone and i asked if there was a difference between the standard or LSD axles, but they don't know anything over there. I'm really picky with my, is OEM the best way to go or just get those aftermarket replacement ones?

If somebody buys one of these aftermarket axles, keep us posted on this thread or another.

This is a confusing topic -- seems to be alot of misinformation out there.
Post the part #'s for MT trans, and which side or SIDES you replace.

I'm getting close to replacing one or both of my axles due to a vibration over 60mph, that i CANNOT get rid of....

Would like to find a reasonably priced, sturdy set.

Found this:
http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...le-my-car.html

There's a 40% coupon, and with FREE home shipping, total comes to $104.76!
These are correct parts for 6mt, left and right side.

I'd say I'm sold - unless raxles can get it together...
