a32 on Coils: how low will it go?

So I got some Ksport springs on my 1999 i30 right now and its not low enough... looking at either buying some Ksport Coilovers or some Megans and wondering how low they will go without being impractical. Pics would be great, I want to slam the I as low as possible without getting bags. I may also be getting the Extreme Dimensions VIP kit.

thanks,
Jared

Thats a quick rolling vid I shot with my phone this afternoon. My Wifes I35 is on Ksport coils and definately can go much lower but she doesn't want to. I have to believe that the I30 models can get you lower too.

Prepare to replace axles frequently because those things will start clunking long before you wind down the threads.

In other words, you'll be low and impractical.

Rule of thumb: Fenders flush with, or just above the edge of your tire's sidewall. Anything lower is impractical.

ksport coilovers will go lower than you want most likely. There is a pic of a 4th gen with ksports low enough that the it was impractical to drive. Ill try and find the thread

I scrap on the smallest and simplest ****. i have another half an inch i can go, but the angle my axles are at is a little extreme.

These 2 posts are very true. It really is impractical to ride any lower than the fenders sitting right above the sidewall. But if you are willing to deal with the consequences of daily driving a slammed car just because it looks absolutely awsome riding that low. Props to that person.

Everytime I scrape, pop an axle, or refuse to enter a driveway because it's too steep, she says, "dont you think you should raise it up some?" But everytime she introduces me to one of her friends she says, "you should see his car! It's so low!"

For most inclines, if you hit the slope one wheel at a time, you wont scrape a thing.

As low as I am sitting now, I can litterally go alot lower. But my crossmember will be sitting on the floor and my wheels will be in the engine bay at that point. I have an A33 but it's similar.

essential, I always show your car to my wife when I try to convince her to lower the rear more. The front is plenty low for her liking right now, but it would be considered impractical by people on here so whatever. I just want her to lower her rear a little more.

OP, there is a lot more space for her coilovers to go much lower than she is right now. You shouldn't have any issue geting low on K Sports

Just do it when she's not looking. I'm sure she'll notice, but if she complains, just tell her to raise it back up herself. lol

If your car comes with a VQ30 and is FWD and is made between '95-'03, you do not have independant rear suspension. And like I said before, A32 and A33 chassis are very similar. Ksports coilovers will go damn near equally as low for both chassis.
