VQ30DE compression
VQ30DE compression
I have mildly tuned 4th gen Max.
Yesterday I was mesuring(not myself) compression of my car engine and it was 14. Is that normal for VQ30DE engine or is it too much. The stnadard figure should be 10.I am usin 5w30 oil.
Can anyone give advise

is that like another country measurement because usa uses psi and i think the minimum psi is like 140psi or something like that so convert your measurements to that psi. and if you are talking about compression hight the 10:1 is stock for the vq30de

Sounds like he's 'speaking' in bar, in which case 14 bar ~= 200 PSI.
The FSM lists 'standard' (nominal) compression as 185 PSI, or ~13 bar. It lists the minimum as 142 PSI, or just under 10 bar as he seems to think is the 'standard'.

Yes I meant 13bar. I let it check yestreday it was in all cylinder 13 bar except one that was 12.5 bar. I think it is normal?
