For Sale 2.5 inch Cattman Catback Exhaust in NJ used in excellent condition

Hello fellas,

I have had this exhaust on my 97 Maxima for about 2 years and after cleaning it up with some stainless steal cleaner the muffler looks almost brand new. Naturally, the B-pipe and resonator didn't come out as polished since it is not a polished steel like the muffler. The two pieces have a golden type discolor to the steel. I will have pics posted up tomorrow.

Everyone knows the reputation that Cattman has for their exhaust systems and in my opinion it is the best exhaust available for the 4th gen. This 2.5 catback for sale is no longer being produced so now its you chance to own it. It has one 02 bong in the resonator for those who are wondering. You will need new gaskets and mounting hardware which I am not providing, The gaskets are fairly cheap and can be bought at Nissan or any other Auto parts store. Also the exhaust hangers are 4 bucks each at Napa you will need three.

I am asking for 500 plus shipping. If you would like to pick up I am located in Hudson county NJ, so that can be arranged and you will save on the shipping. I just payed 80 bucks to have my new 3.0 exhaust shipped to me from Cattman so Im assuming shipping would be around the same depending where you are located.

muffler

For Sale 2.5 inch Cattman Catback Exhaust in NJ used in excellent condition-dscn0240.jpg Muffler. The yellow spot you see on the hanger is when I sprayed some rustoleum under the car on some rusted areas. Nothing major.

Thanks for the input but first of all its a pipe that's only 2 years old with dicoloration. That is about it. 2nd Cattman doesn't make this one anymore. 599 im still 100 less and you still wouldn't have a Cattman for that price. If people are not interested cause the price is to high why bother to post? A simple GLWS would be sufficient enough.

I don't think the people questioning your asking price were trying to **** on your thread...they were just trying to understand your reasoning for asking that much. $500 is a lot of money to 4th gen people on a budget, especially when you can get a vq35de for that much. I think people just get sticker shock when they see the pricey items for sale.

Your paying that much for an engine and probably about a grand or close to that to get it installed... unless your doing it on your own. Compared to a simple exhaust, this is two different animals. Besides a lot more things can go wrong buying a used engine compared to a 2 year old exhaust. I can drop the price to 450 to cover the cost for the new gaskets and bolts but thats about it. For 450 you are still getting a top notch exhaust system. Someone will eventually buy it. Im in no hurry to sell it.

New price 450 plus shipping. I will not drop the price any lower.

$500 is a good price don't change it! These Cattman exhaust are SS and will outlast most cars...gaskets and hardware are cheap......Ace hardware for some SS hardware and Oem cat gaskets are lifetime reuseable.....

I figure I could at least cover the cost for the the new bolts, gaskets and hangers.

Thanks, Im trying to tell people its a good deal but most Orgers are cheap and rather buy cheap parts and wonder why it doesn't last or perform lousy. This exhaust sounds awesome and has no exhaust drone.. whoever buys it will be more than happy. This is a fair price, someone get it before its gone.

I wasn't trying to get you to lower your asking price, I was just making an observation about maxima parts. What I was trying to get at is the price per mod vs vehicle price of these cars. When I had my STi or my M5 $500 on an exhaust would be very fair considering the price of the car plus other major item costs. For example, the STi transmission runs about 6-7 grand and a short block for the M5 is about 20 grand!

It's just funny to me seeing ads for 4th gen parts that cost as much as the cars sometimes. Your exhaust is very nice and cattman items are known for their high quality...so I'm sure someone will bite soon.

If don't look at it as parts costing more than the car. If I thought that way I wouldn't buy anything for this car anymore haha. I do it simply because it makes the car that much more fun to drive.

I lowered my price because its a fair and right thing to do considering the person that buys it would need new hardware.
