5 speed swap ECU Question?
5 speed swap ECU Question?
I recently completed my 5 speed swap, but car tends to have high idle only when I come to a stop. I have a 98 maxima with a 97 5 speed manual transmission running on a 98 auto ECU, I have a 95 manual ECU in storage. Should I use the 95 manual ECU or should I get a 97 or 98 manual ECU? Also, will the car run better or the same with a 95 manual ECU compared to a 97-98?
If the ECU is working fine, the car will drive fine.
Alright, I got the 5 speed manual ecu from a 97 maxima at the junkyard.
My only question is, the ECU that I pulled out on this vehicle had J2 @ the top? The one that I pulled from the 95 5 speed had MT @ the top? Does every ECU have different letters and numbers @ the top? In other words, how can you tell if it's truly a 5 speed ECU?
