Got in a car with stock motor mounts, thinking of switching back...

I have the ES motor mount bushings and I guess I got used to it but I sat in my friends maxima with stock mounts and it was dead still and quiet, I'm thinking of switching back, are stock mounts bad in anyway to engine, car, etc??

Should I just deal with it or can I change out one and keep one ES or what's up???

Same here. I'm switching back to OEM. I love the stiffness of the ES stuff when driving but hate how it feels like a 91 Corolla rattling and vibrating. Dave B GD? lol

I'm assuming they are aftermarket mounts? Or are they OEM? I go through aftermarket mounts like nothing. Want to go with the OEM ones now.

Yes, aftermarkets, but much better quality than the crap you find on eBay.

They are the same as the eBay mounts. Don't be fooled...

News to me, I purchased from both to compare. RockAuto's were definitely stronger/beefier.

Pics? Beefier how? I find that intersting since I have all my original OEM mounts and now all Ebay mounts installed. Compared side by side. Identical. They are identical.

Well, except for the tranny since mine is manual. eBay doesnt carry the 6 speed manual mount. That was an OEM part.

Hey nismopc, can you measure the stock vs. eBay mount inner diameter for the front and rear mounts? (the torque mounts) I have an auto, so I can't do ES torque bushings and I'm wondering if the ES bushings will fit in the eBay torque mounts. No one seems to know, but if they will, I'll order me a set of eBay mounts and ES bushings

Ditto. I'll never go back to OEM torque mount bushings. No way, no how.

But I do understand where you're head is at, OP. I took my NWP Torque Link off for the Winter, and I have to admit the lack of NVH is a nice change.

For now. Come Springtime, I'm sure to be wanting to switch things back into Aggressive Mode. (We need an on/off switch, LOL!)

I could be wrong (didn't search) but I am pretty sure a few auto guys have bought the eBay mounts and swapped the inserts into them and confirmed they worked.

I'll try to see if I can find the thread cuz I am pretty sure I posted in there as well...

Yeah, that'd be great if you could find that. I've been trying to find out for quite some time now, but to no avail.

Ok, so I need to get the transmission and front RIGHT motor bushings. Want to go with the ES bushings.

Considering buying the Ebay mounts or just stick with stock mounts (which have 165k on them but never involved in a front end as far as I know)?

Does anyone know which part numbers I need from Energy Suspension?

ES only makes inserts for the front and rear mounts (torque mounts). And only for the manual mounts. Just look on their website. You'll be able to find them as well as anybody.

I'm willing to trade with whoever wants to do a trade for your stock bushings in excellent condition and cash, turn around time will be 24hrs once I receive item and we'll pay our own shipping... we'll start the bidding at 20 bucks plus your stock bushings in great condition.
Mine are red and in excellent condition ES motor mounts.

There was some discussion about the ebay mounts vs the rockauto mounts. Rockauto has a couple brands, which brand sucks? Anchor seems to be the cheapest.

I would like to trade but I want the item to be stock kinda like this, no ebay knock off.

So anyone interested in a trade for great condition stock mounts plus cash, PM me with a decent offer...

you know the ebay mounts arent terrible, there was a multipage thread praising them. I actually just took a pic, and it looks very similar in quality to the one you have pictured.
