Anybody still have JN1EJ01P5NT102532?

Just wondering. I sold my 4DSC 3 or 4 years ago. Just wondering if it's still around. Please pet it's head and wish it Happy New Years for me.

VIN JN1EJ01P5NT102532

Here's a pic of it when I had it.

Please email me at shoult @ softboot . us if you have it and just let me know it's still around and doing well.

Hope you're all having a great new year.

I'm your guy. Your Max is still around and doing quite well. I've done an engine swap & added a few goodies here and there. I'll email in a bit.

He probably just put in another engine, NYC_INK. Only engines that fit our car without major modifications are 300zx z31 VG30ET Maxima VG30E Maxima VE30DE. Not many motors to easily swap in with little modifications.

Oh, lord! If it makes you feel better, my GXE is rust free, and I'm not gonna do THAT to it.

I know the rust drill. The hobby around where I'm at is restoring classic cars. My Dad had a '69 Camaro we restored. Starting out as a rusted quarter panels, NO floor, a crappy ladder-bar setup with leaf springs, and more I don't wanna talk about. New quarters, cutting out a bunch of cancer, and a tube back-half with a four link cured all. Well, and a floor helped too.

Even currently I have my '81 K10 that needs rockers, and cab corners from the cancer. That is after finding a donor truck for the frame because mine was rotted so bad that the steering box was held on by what I believe to be a patch of VERY thick air. It is the only thing that made sense...

I had some, but I didn't like how it looked as much. Plus, I don't drive it in the rain very often.

Per my sig, I did the standard "JDM" VE replacement. Stock for stock. Nothing exotic, just lower mileage.

LOL It still looks the same on the outside. I'll throw some pics on here when time permits though. The mods/changes I've added since buying the car are the VE swap, UDP, NWP spacers, engine grounds, Exedy stage 1 clutch, RSTB, CAI, LTB, put some recessed LEDs in the door handles (I was tired of passengers b!tching when they couldn't find the handles at night), Z rear brake upgrade, Q45 front calipers w/ Mazda Millennia rotors & swapped GXE power seat frames & controls into the stock SE seats. Nothing major.

Just for future reference though, unless you took the fenders off, you were still going to rub. Because the wheel is wider then the fender it self. That, or add HUGE bump stops...

What I would have done, and have done is the same thing we used to do to stuff slicks on the back of muscle cars. Take a piece of wood, stick it between the tire, and fender and push down on the corresponding end of the vehicle. If you do this right, and slowly work your way around the fender it'll make a huge difference. Did this to a Duster once. Running DOT slicks, with air shocks. After there was no rubbing, and you couldn't tell we had done anything.

They make fender rollers for specifically that job. I took my car to a friend's shop and used his fender roller (changed the oil on a couple customer cars to pay the bills), and rolled and pulled my fenders and gained about 1/2" of clearance. when I was done, my tires didn't rub the lip, but rubbed on the top of the fender well when the car hit big bumps.

I remember back in the days when people would just use a wooden baseball bat. They'd stick the bat between the tire and fender, then roll the vehicle forward slowly. You gotta be careful though, you can serious F up your fender if your not careful.

I rolled the **** out of my rear fenders with the Eastwood roller. I not only rolled them, I was able to actually "flare" them. I couldn't find one to rent or anybody local with one so I just bought one, did my fenders, and then turned around and sold it on eBay and made back nearly all the money I spent on it
