5.5gen suspension crunching noise
Hey guys,
I had my shocks replaced with tokico blues about 6 months ago, and for the last 2 months there is a crunch crunch spring noise coming from the passenger side. Is it the bearing? Is it the rubber seal?
Lookin from the wheel well or from under the hood shows no signs of tearing...
Edit: the noise comes when i am standing still and turning the wheel, u also hear it at low speeds when backing up or trying to park. I cant hear it when traveling at normal speeds on the road, probably cuz u dont need to turn the wheel as much.

What brand strut mount did you use? I got MOOG at first... and it ate one of them up because the spring seat is a little too thick for the plastic bearing that comes with the MOOG mounts, so it doesnt rotate at the proper point.
I bought two new mounts today from orilley's (Master Pro, $36.99) and the bearing that came with it seems MUCH better than the full plastic moog one...
I agree with avciugroar. Check out those strut mounts. Have someone turn the wheel lock to lock while parked with the hood open. As they do this, watch the strut shaft for movement in the mount. It should remain stationary.
if it moves, then your strut mount is SERIOUSLY TOTALED. More importantly, look at the upper spring seat and how it rotates on the parts above it, as someone turns the wheel. If it looks like not rotating smooth, like it jumping, you have the same problem as me, and you need new strut mount bearings.
