Changing Fog Bulbs (97-99): Dummies Guide

Hello, I couldn't find a guide on here for changing 97-99 fog light bulbs so I made one!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here we have our fog light, removed from the car.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the part we are going to remove, you twist this LEFT and it doesn't matter which way you hold it, it will turn... and like it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the insides of our fog light, and where the bulb is hiding.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a connection in this sleeve you simply CAREFULLY pull the two apart, I had to wiggle it to get it loose.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the same wire removed.

Now you remove the black wire which is connected to the fog light itself. This part was hard to get off and wiggling it left and right gently helped.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now we have to release the latch. Here is the part you want to push down and away towards the empty space that is not blocking it from being able to move.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here we are again with the latch unlocked.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then you lift the latch straight up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And simply pull the white wire straight up and the bulb will pop out.

Finally the install is just reverse of removal!

But before we all go change our fog bulbs, lets enjoy a picture I found in my thumb drive. Now you will all suffer the torture of seeing my wheel gap.

Bwahahahahah!

Thanks for the pics, they'll help members. Should've included removing the light. And aren't these things driving lights? I thought fog lights were yellow. I'm just saying in general and not directed towards you because everyone calls them fog lights.

I'll show you a picture of driving lights LOL. And the color is your choice it can be yellow or white its your choice.

Also the difference between fogs and driving lights are the beam pattern, Fogs are wide beams and driving lights have beams similar to headlights.
