i notice my speedmometer will stop working sometime and if i go WOT throttle while it isnt working, itll feel like the car wont pick up at all after 3000 rpm. it doesnt stumble or jerk when i do it it just feels like the car doesnt want to pull after that rpm range like its an old lady or something. any ideas before i try replacing the VSS

 

Checked your knock sensor?

 

knock snesor... explain y that would be it...just curious since there is no knocking

 

Knock sensors tend to fail on these cars and will kill your timing because the failed sensor is telling your ECU that you are knocking or pinging (even though you aren't) so the ECU retards the timing to protect your motor.

 

ok i kno knock sensors come in ghost codes and i just had it scanned but nothing about knock senser...they did say i had a p1445 code though...any idea?

 

by the way its fine when its colld and when its completly warm for a little bit but a few minutes after that itll lack the pull and come back randomly ...then the speedometer will work again...shi* is pissing me off....

 

still havent figured out the problem..the gauge cluster kicks in after the car warms up...when the car is warming up , the car is at maximum power...after it warms up it looses its pull after 3000 rpm...the afc is reading that its at WOT when i floor it but it feels like im only doing 25% throttle after 3000 rpm...anymore ideas?
