FWIW they are not 4G, just iPhone 4. I have had one since they were released though, and they are awesome phones. The screen is amazing if you haven't seen one in person.

No, actually the iPhone 3g was the second iPhone made, and was named so because it was the first iPhone to support AT&T's 3g network. The 3gs was an update to that phone. The iPhone 4 is the fourth iPhone to be made, and that is the reason for the name (and why there is no "g"). The reason the Evo 4g is named so is because it can use the 4g network.
