car pulls to the right after tire roation help..
I had my oil change and tires rotated at the delaership and noticed cars pulls to the right significantly. I drove to work and back about 100 miles to verify and car pulls to the right under different roads and conditions. It not because of tire wear. my tires are new and all measure 11/32 tire thread. Any Suggestions? I dont mind paying for an alignment but do i get a 2 wheel or 4 wheel alignment. Funny thing is before roation my car was straight as an arrow.
I could be a nagger and ask why you had new tires rotated, but I won't. I think Nissan recommends rotating every 7,500 miles, but I have had very good results with rotating every 15,000 miles.
I began using the 15,000 mile interval about ten years ago, because it seemed every time I had tires rotated, I ended up with some sort of problem. Either the car suddenly began pulling to one side or the other, or a vibration suddenly cropped up, or a lug nut was broken, or a chrome lug nut cover was mangled, or a wheel scratched, etc, etc. Always something.
If nothing was done to your tires/suspension other than a simple rotation, it may be that one of your new tires has a belt problem or something, and it didn't show up when it was on the rear.
Another possibility - if the wheels you just had moved to the front had never been on the front before, it is possible one of them is not perfect. This may not have been noticable on the rear, but anything that is not perfect will always show up on the front.

The only thing that comes to mind is air pressure. They may have inadvertently filled them inconsistently (i.e. the tires on the side that it is pulling toward is a few psi lower than the other side...especially on the drive wheels.) Or they may have over-torqued the wheel on the side it is pulling toward, making the disc rub against the pad...normally this also results in vibration, but those are the only two things that come to mind.

How true how true, especially about the vibrations...I have told Discount Tire to stop balancing my tires after I get a rotation just to be doing it. It has not been one time in the past that I did not have to go back to get them rebalanced on the Max or the Z, did not have vibrations what so ever before I went in.
