Things you need...
-One on/off switch... doesn't matter what kind or anything as long as it has the on and off function.
-Some wire... doesn't matter what kind of wire or what color wire, all you need is some wire.
Steps:
1) Hook up the brake wire from the Alpine to the hot wire on the break pedal not the parking break the regular brake pedal switch
2) Hook up the parking brake wire from the Alpine to one of the two wires on the switch.
3) Ground the other wire on the switch to something on the car or the frame, easy thing to do is use the radio ground.
4) Put the switch somewhere, I don't care if you mount it somewhere, tuck it in somewhere, glue it, paste it, stick it, just do what you want with it.
How to use it...
Press the brake pedal and while pressing it. Toggle the switch on-off-on and let go of the brake pedal. This should override the "safety picture off screen".
Easiest thing to do if you have an extra $20 is get the PAC TR-7 module off of ebay. It does the sequence for you.
