We Have Parted Ways

After 7 1/2 years of ownership, I finally sold my car over the weekend. It went to a fellow forum member (and 3rd Gen owner). I am sure it is in good hands, and I just wanted to let you all know...

The car will always be significant to me because it is the car I learned how to really wrench and modify on. It still has many miles left in it and I hope it will be on the road for years to come!

Too bad you got rid of it, but it's tough to keep a car forever. I keep thinking about what to do with mine. It's hard for me to sell and I wouldn't get enough for it to buy something that I want more.

It's nice that yours is going to another enthusiast.

Me and My Dad wrenched on it the first day we got it......Tightening up a few loose ends.....He'll be attacking a few small things and changing a few bad connectors on the fuel injection......along with some more injectors......Transmission is tight as hell and 3rd is really tight and will take some time to loosen up......I'm really impressed with the Q45 front caliper upgrade......We're known for putting some miles on cars and I think this one will see alot of action......It's taking me alot not throw some headers at that car as well as an ignition system upgrade......and we just got it!!!!! Thanks again Ben......My Dad's all grins......

I'll most likely pass on the VE to my son before I sell it...or one of my daughters. And they love to drive it too.

Wow, you have children? No offense, but judging from a lot of your posts, I thought you were maybe 18 tops.

MT: Too bad you had to let it go after all the work and money you've put into maintenance over the years I know it was a lot.

I don't look it and my forum persona don't reflect it, but I'm one of the oldest here. I get to be a kid again when I'm here.

A vegan lifestyle and regular exercise keeps the body tight and the mind focused. The car and driver gotta represent each other .
