MD 1998 Maxima 5speed Black Loaded - 1700obo
1998 Maxima 5speed Black Loaded - 1700obo
Ok, this car is back up for sale after the buyer flaked on me: http://forums.maxima.org/maximas-sal...d-1700obo.html
To update the issues that the car had when i first posted it: I found a bad wheel bearing and bad axle seal so it is no longer leaking. I've put 1000+ miles on the car since the issue and no problems. The car currently has 204500 and will go up slowly.
Info on the car from the other thread:
The car is black with tan leather, 5 speed, 204.5k miles, SE loaded with every option but heated seats and side airbags. The car has after-market Y-pipe, pace setter cat back, CE coils, receiver hitch. Newer tires, UHP All Seasons, Bridgestone RE960AS with 8k miles on them.
This car was my daily driver for the last 5 years. I bought it with 110k on it.
Everything inside the car works, air, moon-roof (no leaks), climate control, etc. The volume control on the bose HU is unresponsive at times especially when cold, but that's the only real issue with the interior.
Exterior is in decent shape for it's age other than some slight damage on the passenger front. The only real issue is the upper radiator support is tweaked. With a new rad support and probably a front fender it would look pretty good. The bumper could use a little work but could probably be repaired. It looks good from 20ft away, but wanted to note it.
Recently i replaced the front brake pads, passenger CV axle and passenger wheel bearing. I have replaced a few parts here and there over the 5 years that I've owned it but never anything out of the ordinary.
The car could also use an AC clutch bearing. I have the bearing but no time to do the work. I also have the AC bypass belt ready to go on if the bearing finally seizes. It's been making noise for about 10k miles now, hasn't gotten worse but does need to be addressed.
The main reason I'm selling it because i have 4 cars in the driveway and I'm inherriting a civic (boo) in the near future that will be my DD. I'm sure this car could last someone quite a while without a ton of work, i will miss the power/feel of it that's for sure!
price is 1700 OBO I kept it the same as before because i really need it to be gone in the near future. Feel free to make me a reasonable offer, cash speaks!
Old Pictures, i have newer ones i need to upload to my computer:

cool, also you have any pic's of the damage to the upper rad support and is the lower rad support rusted out or ok. what are ce coils? and last what is your zip I want to see how far alway you are

It passed MD inspection in '09 but has not been emissions tested but no CEL's so it shouldn't be a problem.
Those stickers will come off when the windshield gets replaced (cracked).
